The Norwegian visual artist and writer Inger Wold Lund has created the sound walk Words are made of air, which invites visitors to experience Dovergaard, where Kunsthal Thy has been located from 2023–2025, in a new way.

The sound walk can be experienced on-site or remotely without physically being at Dovergaard. This will be Kunsthal Thy's final creative action at the location before we move to the barn at the nearby manor house, Boddum Bisgaard, starting in 2026.

About the sound piece
Words are made of air asks you to observe what is right in front of you; trees, stones, buildings and roads, before diving in to the limits of our vision. Is wind visible? Are words visible? What can you see if you close your eyes?

Interweaving personal stories with what is right in front of you, the work uses your surroundings to take you on a journey that hopefully expands what you are able to observe.
